How Sponsorly AI's data is sourced

Sponsorly AI's sponsor licence data is derived from the UK Home Office's published register of licensed sponsors. Job listings are collected from employer career sites and public job postings, then matched to a sponsor's licence record and an occupation code.

Sponsor licence data

The Home Office publishes a register of every organisation licensed to sponsor workers, including its licence rating. Sponsorly ingests this published register and matches employers against it by organisation name and, where available, other identifying details. Sponsorly does not independently verify a company's compliance beyond what the register states — the register itself, published by GOV.UK, is the authoritative source, and Sponsorly's copy of it can lag the live register by the time between refreshes.

Job listings

Job postings are collected from employer career pages and public job listing sources, then checked for whether the hiring organisation matches a licensed sponsor. A job showing on Sponsorly as a "live sponsored role" means the listing was live as of its last check and the hiring employer matched a licensed sponsor record — it is not a guarantee that employer will sponsor a candidate for that specific vacancy, since a licence being held does not obligate an employer to sponsor every role or every applicant.

Occupation (SOC code) and salary data

Occupation eligibility and going-rate salary figures are based on the Home Office's published list of eligible Skilled Worker occupation codes and their associated going rates. Where a job listing states a salary, Sponsorly compares it to the relevant SOC code's going rate; where it doesn't, Sponsorly uses published national salary data (e.g. ONS) as a benchmark, clearly distinguishable from an employer-stated figure.

Refresh frequency and staleness

Job listings and sponsor licence data are refreshed on an ongoing basis, not in real time. A role marked as expired or no longer live is removed from "live" counts shown across the site. Because the underlying register and job sources update independently of Sponsorly, there will always be some lag between a real-world change (a licence being revoked, a role being filled) and it being reflected here — this is a known limitation, not a design goal.
